Are You a Living In Grace?

Ephesian 2:8

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God

If you are a fellow believer then you too are Living In Grace that is built upon the firm foundation of Christ our Savior. I pray that what is written here will glorify Christ and edify His body, the Church.

4 For the Love of Justice and Men

Is this love?

We should never forget or make the mistake of believing that Easter is solely about God's love.  God's love was mostly definitely manifested there that horrific day as while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, but there is something often overlooked or shied away from by those whose modern sensibilities may be hurt: That is the fact that the justice of God  was satisfied there that day.

He who knew no sin became sin for us.

He humbled Himself beyond human comprehension and offered Himself a perfect sacrifice once and for all accomplishing what bulls and goats with their blood could not do.

He was lifted up so that we to could be lifted up and seated with Him in the Heavenlies.

The life is in the blood and He shed His so that yours would not be required of you.

The Father was pleased to bruise Him, to crush Him, to use His stripes for our healing.

Our sins, to numerable and grotesque to recount, were placed upon Him so that justice could be met and our transgressions were imputed to Him and His Holiness was imputed to us.

His justice met His love at the Cross and the justice of God was satisfied with the sacrifice offered.

Greater love has no man than this,
than to lay down one's life
for His friends.

Are you His friend? Do you follow His commands? Is this weekend a time of remembrance and gratitude?

Great post Luther! I especially like how you brought up the goats and bulls could not do. It wasn't until I delved deeper into the Old Testament that I could fully understand the need for Christ's blood sacrifice.

I am always moved when I think of what Christ has done for us! The redemption He brought on the cross is the most amazing thing that ever happened on this earth!

It really is amazing what Christ condescended to do for us on the Cross. He truly made a way where there was no way
